Background and Area of Expertise
Sarah is a qualified Barrister from England & Wales and Advocate High Court of Pakistan with 14 years of experience in the corporate and commercial sector. She provides legal solutions in various areas of practice including Energy. Her legal consultancy experience includes advising companies in contenious and contentious matters as well as legislative drafting services for beneficiaries including USAID, UNDP. Legal services mainly include the following;
(i) Dispute resolution involving statutory tort and other rights and obligations under a wide range of issues
(ii) Structuring, negotiation, preparing documentation for commercial ventures, including share purchase, joint ventures, partnerships, limited liability, companies and other joint-ownership or joint-participation arrangements
(ii) Negotiating and Drafting Contracts governed under English law and Pakistani law
(iv) Legal Due Diligence & Legislative Gap Analysis
(v) Consultation and advice on wide range of commercial issues
(vi) Due Diligence in mergers and acquisitions
Sarah has also added to her knowledge and understanding of International law through teaching in subjects of International Commercial Arbitration, International Law of the Sea, Law of Treaties and International Protection for Human Rights, for the University of London International Program

Sara Malik brings over with 12 years of experience in the energy industry and is an experienced leader delivering projects focused on energy policy formulation, regulatory compliance, corporate strategy, carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS) and energy decarbonization strategies. Sara’s prior experience includes working as a commercial and regulatory advisor at the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), Pakistan, USAID Energy Policy Program and Legal Counsel at OMV Exploration G.M.B.H
