CONTRACT MANAGEMENT
1. To understand contract management by going through the stages of a contract from contract formation to contract claims, over period of two days making it easier to process training material.
2. To understand basic legal principles related to a contract, through short case studies, since poor contract management stems from not knowing those legal principles of contract.
3. To clear any misconceptions participants might have on what is and is not a Contract.
4. To understand how a contract is formed, executed, terminated and how to manage contract renewals, extensions, amendments, and assignments.
5. To understand how to read and interpret commonly seen clauses in commercial contracts and identify ambiguously drafted clauses.
6. To know when to and how to negotiate during drafting of contract clauses.
7. To understand basic ingredients of a claim arising out of a contract and how to support a contract claim.
8. To learn basics of defending or responding to a contract claim.
